SYNOPSIS

Ice Maiden is a feature length documentary comprising of
actual footage recorded by Lisa on her voyage, cinematic
dramatizations and intimate reflections with relevant
authorities / interview subjects. This combination of material
aims to create a visceral experience for the viewer. Via the
actual footage, we are granted exclusive access to Lisa's
character warts and all, as she battles waves the size of
houses, freezing conditions, snow and hail storms, extreme
isolation and fatigue. Alongside the physical voyage Lisa
undertakes, an inner journey is spawned via a series of
intimate reflections, post adventure. This mature perspective
contrasts the dramatic effect of Lisa's gung-ho ambition
evident in the actual footage, coupled with an often humorous
look back at herself in the moment.
